WHY DEVELOP THIS WEBSITE?
The development of this website (which was originally a book) was motivated by two main reasons. The primary goal was to provide both non-Masons, potential candidates, and existing Masons with a comprehensive and informative understanding of the fraternity known as the Freemasons.
Despite the fact that many people claim to know about Freemasonry or have heard a lot about the Freemasons, or have read about the Freemasons online, the reality is that most people, including many Freemasons themselves, have a limited understanding of the fraternity, mostly due to poor proliferation of quality information. The author admits that when he first began his journey into Freemasonry, he too had little knowledge of the fraternity.

The website aims to cover the most important aspects of Freemasonry, including the background and history of the fraternity, the meanings of each degree, and the symbolism behind the aprons, regalia, and jewels. The author also emphasizes that it is important to understand that Freemasonry is a fraternity and not a religion. Freemasons come from and accept many different religious backgrounds, including Christians, Muslims, Hindus, Buddhists, and Taoists. One of the main requirements for eligibility to become a Freemason is to believe in a supreme being.
The author’s motivation for creating this website was also driven by the fact that his family and friends were unaware of the meaning and specifics of Freemasonry, and this lack of understanding was a result of the misinformation and negative stereotypes perpetuated by extremist and fundamentalist groups.
The second goal of this website is to study the reasons behind the steady decline in membership of the Freemasons over the last 20 to 60 years. Initially, it was thought that this decline may be due to the perception of Freemasonry as an outdated and irrelevant organization to modern society, particularly among younger generations.
However, further research quickly revealed that the decline in membership was almost directly due to a result of a concerted effort to spread false information and conspiracy theories about Freemasonry, primarily through the internet, by low-IQ Christian Extremist and Fundamentalist groups, whose sole intention was to proliferate lies and capture a greater number of people to their groups, whilst causing as much damage as possible to the fraternity.
These perpetuated false claims and lies against the fraternity have contributed to the proliferation of misinformation and dangerous conspiracy theories that have infected the minds of the naive and easily manipulated, ultimately leading to a negative perception of Freemasonry and the fraternity’s many benefits.
The author strives to clearly identify these problems and provide hard evidence to refute false claims, while simultaneously suggesting real solutions through education. It is the author’s hope that this website will serve as a valuable resource for anyone seeking to understand the true nature of Freemasonry and the positive impact it has on its members and society as a whole.
