A note from the Webmaster…

Conspiracy theorists and the like, have been spreading the idea that the Freemasons are the Illuminati and that they want the destruction of the world, the enslavement of humankind, and a host of other nefarious and dubious accusations. It is interesting to note that in the same breath, individuals such as Alex Jones speak highly of figures such as George Washington and John Hancock and has even coined the phrase “The answer to 1984 is 1776,” which references the fight against communism and slavery through the American Revolution and the independence of the United States in 1776. This is a clear example of contradictory statements.

George Washington was the first President of the United States and the commander-in-chief of the Continental Army, while John Hancock is known as an American urban legend because of his bold signature on the Declaration of Independence. To suggest that these individuals, who were Freemasons and sacrificed their lives for the greater good of the American people by liberating them from the tyrannical monarchy and dangerous taxes, were nefarious characters is both appalling and disrespectful to the forefathers of the United States.

It begs the question if the Freemasons mentioned above were such dubious and nefarious characters, how can one explain the risks they took with their own lives to free the entire country? The answer is simple: it is an extreme and obvious contradiction to the conspiratorial comments of people such as Alex Jones and William Cooper, Jordan Maxwell, Janet Ossebaard, etc. To put it simply, anything negative and conspiratorial one may hear about Freemasonry today, is just nonsense and can be proven time and time again with facts. Please visit the Debunk page for more details. However, the simplistic and inane arguments made by such individuals who generalize and stereotype people because they ‘belong’ to a group, are like saying if an individual was to be a ‘Christian’ and then commit a crime, then claim that ‘all Christians’ are criminals. In reality, this is an absurd comment, it is incomprehensible and incredibly offensive, yet conspiracy theorists have no problem in generalizing and stereotyping Freemasons in such a light.
